I was very surprised when I picked up the new Glamour issue for September. It was amazing! It was finally heavy on the fashion side for once. I consider Elle, Bazaar, and Vogue to be in one category; and Glamour, Cosmo, and Allure in another. I would put this issue of Glamour in the first category. I loved the load of Do's and Don'ts moments, they are always so fun! Of course there were great makeup and hair tips. I enjoyed ALL of the layouts which is RARE. I would have to say my favorite part overall was the "206 Ways to Dress Chic Now" which runs from page 109 to 146. It's a bunch of little mini fashion stories ranging from "8 Sexy Short Skirts" to "6 Fashion Dilemmas Solved by Rachel Zoe". AMAZING! Glamour usually features items we can actually afford, mixed in with the high fashion. THERE WAS SO MUCH OF IT! It was so fabulous and still very chic. My only negative thought was that I could do without Jessica Simpson on the cover. Thank you Glamour!

Crazy shoes.... not so crazy
So I've been seen lots of people knock the funky new shoes that are out this season. I have to say that I actually LOVE them! Obviously when you decide to go with a dramatic shoe, you have to go simple on top. I just think it's so great that you can put on shoes like these and they do all the accessory work for you. I would wear a simple Hervé Léger bandage dress with the Dior shoes. Being a female, how could you not want to rock a little fertility goddess on your heel!? With the tribal looking Louis Vuittion I would do a simple khaki colored shirt dress, and belt it at the waist. I love this new shoe trend!

God, she is a FIERCE old bat!
Rumors are flying that Anna Wintour might be leaving Vogue. For anyone who doesn't know, she is the Editor-in-Chief of VOGUE, and the book The Devil Wears Prada was loosely based on her. Everything seems to be going in a new direction these days, so maybe it's out with the old and in with the new. I would like to see a tad bit fresher direction from the magazine. Although, I must say that I love Wintour. She doesn't play around with what she wants, and I love people like that. Wintour is neither confirming nor denying these rumors. What could the Devil Wears Prada herself possibly do after Vogue? Wait.... it's Anna Wintour ..... she'll do whatever she wants!

New blog take 2!
Hi!
To make a long story short.... I attempted to do a blog on style around the UCF campus. It didn't work because I realized I have a lot to say! So now my new blog will have a wide range of topics centered around fashion and the fashion industry. You can expect my observations and thoughts to be sprinkled through out :) I'm going to try to update a least 3 times a week. Promise! I've decided to make my first post the video that seduced me into the world of fashion, and caused me to drop everything and immerse myself in it. I now present Kenzo's Spring 2006 collection. Enjoy!
The music of course is to die for! It really sets the tone and takes you to the place Antonio Marras envisioned for this line. I love the nautical theme here because it doesn't come off as too much. It was all so chic and simple. It all felt somewhat like a fresh breeze. And how could you not LOVE the beautiful ending with all the models on the yacht! To me this show presented the essence of why I love fashion.
Thanks to JangerHart and Antonio Marras of course!
